Be the Me

The short of it is, I am a wanna be farmer from the northwest that has an idea. That idea is that we all have pretty good ideas and if we work together we have a better chance to bring those ideas to life.

Be the Farm is an attempt at documenting and sharing our collective discovery and innovation with the hope of encouraging a world of open source achievement and collectively owned advancement. We can get back to a life that encourages life.

We believe most of this progress is going to start at the farm, by feeding people healthy food that they are actively connected with will nourish the minds that build that better tomorrow, so this has become our primary focus, but there is a whole lot more out there that are far more interesting than that…

The Three Mistresses

Permaculture

I started looking at permaculture a few years ago as a regenerative land management philosophy where the idea is observation and emulation of natural processes where natural order itself is the guide. I have since discovered that this philosophy is universal across all aspects of life and existence.

Revolution at Home

Before we can expect the world to change we must first be that change. By localizing efforts we build scalable and reproducible models for that better world. Sustainable local communities have become a passion of ours as we see it as the foundation of a healthier tomorrow.

Collaboration

Our goal is to highlight movements changing the leadership/ownership dynamic to a more collaborative structure. Much of this we hope to take on personally, but perhaps more important is the many other people working with a similar goal as well. All of these efforts deserve recognition as together they pave the road to this better society.
